WOW!! What a fenomenal day!!
We spent 12 hours at CrossFit Torian in Brisbane together with Dmitij Klokov... The seminar was only supposed to go until 6pm, but we were a bigger group than usual, and Klokov did still spend a lot of time with each induvidual.
The snatch and clean & jerk set up is very different from what I have been thought in CrossFit. Klokov explained that the russian way of weightlifting is different from the American way, or Chinese way etc.. and ofcourse very different from the way you lift in CrossFit.
It was so hard to get in to the right position.. Especially in the snatch.. Heels should be close together, and toes out wide... Knees should also be pushed out really wide... Beforehand I've had a norrower stance, and my knees have just been a little bit wider than my hips..
I did learn so many new drills that I'll definitely use for myself and my clients. And hopefully with this new technique change I'll get some new PB's within the next few weeks... Practise, practise, practise!!
